Managers are busy, but they shouldn’t consistently be too busy to do their job and help manage their team, listen to new ideas, answer pressing questions or provide encouragement. I encourage them to keep their vision board near their working space for reference when they experience trying times. Every employee has a vision board pinned up somewhere around their office. I believe that everyone is on my team for the right reasons and our business goals are aligned. I have noticed that having my staff write down personal goals fires them up. Get their input and push them to work towards what expands their minds and pushes their limits. How do you inspire them to think outside of the box, try harder and put in the extra time and effort? Sit down with your team and create goals together. A lot of people simply show up to work and follow basic job descriptions.
